# Intent?

Everyone is now offering an “intent services”.

### Intents = Taking the burden off the user

Intents is a revolutionary new user experience where we take all the technical complexity out of DeFi so you can focus on your financial goals while we handle the technical details.

### <mark style="color:red;">BUT</mark> the current landscape falls short <a href="#challenges-scaling-defi" id="challenges-scaling-defi"></a>

Intents space remains very **retail focused**:

* Single usecase covers >90% of all current Intents - **token swaps**. Swaps is only 3% of the DeFi transactions. There are many other DeFi transactions that remain unexplored.
* Most of the offerings don’t go beyond **EVM chains**, with a very select few starting to explore Bitcoin ecosystem.
* Robust **enterprise-level** Intent services, that are smart and safe enough for more innovative and experimental DeFi routing requests, are even harder to come by.

The user is still expected to manage almost all his transactions, approvals and pay gases on his own.
